The salt mine is located in the commune of Ocnele Mari, just 8 km from Râmnicu Vâlcea, accessible in approximately 10 minutes by car. The road is paved to the entrance, and parking is arranged on the surface. Access to the salt mine is exclusively by special minibuses, which transport visitors a distance of 2.5 km inside the salt massif. The constant temperature of 12–13°C makes the visit comfortable regardless of the season. Useful tip: bring a thin jacket with you - the temperature difference from the outside can be significant in summer.
